Program Manager, Continuous Improvement

Continuous Improvement Team at our client organization is Responsible for leading process improvement initiatives and embedding the culture of Continuous Improvement within the Global operations.

Lean Six Sigma is a mature methodology within organization, making this an attractive role for a self-starter and change agent seasoned in process improvement. This role offers a great opportunity to cultivate, lead and support the culture of continuous improvement leveraging strong knowledge of Lean Six Sigma tools.

Job Mandate and Accountabilities:

Reporting to Senior Manager, Process Improvement, the mandate of this role is to lead, develop, deploy and manage Continuous Improvement (CI) Ideation Program across operations in North America. Following are the accountabilities:

  • Lead teams of business and process experts to develop and deploy end to end workflow of CI ideation program utilizing Lean Six Sigma methodology
  • Develop program reporting and analyze existing data to identify, recommend, prioritize and execute inventory of improvement ideas with an emphasis on improving user experience, increasing workflow efficiency and reducing risk
  • Oversee CI Program and provide support to all stakeholder groups and effectively communicate to all levels of organization
  • Apply and teach others in the use of quality tools and in-depth analysis
  • Implement communication strategies for key stakeholders and sponsors with a goal to identify opportunities to improve timelines, reduce expenses, reduce errors, enhance value and improve employee experience
  • Advocate and recommend end to end sustainable solutions to improve quality and eliminate waste, and lead teams to execute on all recommendations within committed timelines

Requirements

  • 7+ years of proven track record and experience in leading Process Improvement initiatives using Lean Six Sigma methodology
  • Experience in leading or supporting end to end deployment of CI ideation program
  • Experience in leading end to end Value Stream mapping sessions and Kaizen sessions with participants from all levels of business including executives
  • Great written and verbal communication skills regardless of the level of the target audience
  • Good understanding of policies, regulatory requirements and operational processes
  • Demonstrated leadership and project management skills by completing projects on time and within budget
  • Ability to educate, advocate and negotiate
  • Ability to work independently and within large team
  • Ability to leverage strong data analysis skills to support project findings
  • Demonstrated proficiency with Minitab statistical software, Excel and Visio
  • Some travel may be required

Additional Information

  • University degree or equivalent work experience
  • Lean Six Sigma Black Belt certification is preferred, Master Black Belt certification will be an asset.
